The Wright State women's soccer team scored three second half goals on the way to a 4-1 victory over Oakland in Horizon League play on Saturday afternoon at Alumni Field. The Raiders improve to 6-2-2 overall and 1-1 in HL play with the win. Oakland drops to 3-5-1 overall and 1-1 in league action.
Josie Krupp got Wright State on the board early with her eighth minute goal and that proved to be the only scoring in the opening 45 minutes. The Raiders quickly added to the advantage in the second half, beginning with
Destiny Johnson's 48
th minute goal off an assist from
Jordyne Helinski and Krupp. Helinski got in on the scoring with a goal of her own in the 58
th minute before Mikaylee Zeurcher tallied her first goal of the season in the 67
th minute to make it a four goal game.
Oakland scored its lone goal on Sierra Grodsinsky's score in the 71
st minute.

BY THE NUMBERS
- The Raiders made the most of their shot attempts, tallying the four goals despite being outshot 18-14 by the Golden Grizzlies. Wright State put one more shot on goal (9-8) than the visitors.
- Jordyne Helinski tallied a team-high five shots for Wright State, while Brittney Petrosky and Krupp each had three shots for the Raiders. Maddie Jewell recorded seven saves for Wright State.
- Wright State's four goals are tied for the teams most in a game this season. The Raiders previously tallied four goals in a home win over Thomas More on September 6.
