The Wright State men's basketball team continues its homestand on Saturday night as the Raiders welcome Youngstown State to the Nutter Center for a 7 p.m. tipoff. The game is the program's annual Military Appreciation Game and will feature an Air Force swearing-in ceremony at halftime. The Horizon League-leading Raiders are 16-4 overall and 6-1 in HL play going into the weekend, and are winners of nine of their last 10 games overall while tallying eight wins to date at home. Youngstown State is 11-8 overall and 4-2 in conference action heading into Saturday night.

Last time out, Wright State led from the opening tip until the final horn on Thursday night, starting the three-game homestand with a 75-62 victory over visiting Cleveland State inside the Nutter Center. Four Raiders finished in double-figures scoring on Thursday night, led by
Tanner Holden's 16 points, who also added nine rebounds and four assists to his stat line.
Cole Gentry added 14 points of his own off a 5-of-6 shooting night from the floor with four three-pointers.
Loudon Love was 6-of-10 from the floor on his way to 13 points, while
Grant Basile tallied a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Basile also added four blocks for the Raiders.
PLAYIN' PENGUINS
Saturday will be the 60th meeting all-time between Wright State and Youngstown State, with the Raiders holding a 47-12 advantage in the series. Wright State has won the last five meetings, dating back to the 2016-17 season. The first-ever meeting came Jan. 29, 1977 at Youngstown State, a 73-71 Raider loss. Wright State's first win in the series came on Jan. 28, 1978 – a 60-59 home victory.
YOUNGSTOWN TIDBITS
Youngstown State is coming off a road loss at Northern Kentucky on Thursday night, snapping what had been a two-game winning streak (Oakland and Detroit Mercy). The Penguins also won their first two HL matchups (over IUPUI and UIC) before a bump in the road at Cleveland State. Junior Naz Bohannon ranks fifth in the nation with 4.12 offensive rebounds per game, 23rd with 157 total rebounds and 50th with 9.2 rebounds per game. Bohannon has eight double-digit rebound performances this season and 24 for his career. Bohannon is also third in the Horizon League with 8.9 rebounds per game. Bohannon is averaging 11.5 points and 9.2 rebounds per game in league play. Junior Michael Akuchie has scored in double figures nine times this season and the Penguins own a record of 7-2 in those games. Since the start of Horizon League play, Akuchie is averaging 13 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. He is also shooting 56.7 percent from the floor and 66.7 percent from 3-point range. Youngstown State has seen a tremendous amount of success this season when it scores at least 32 points in the paint. The Penguins have reached that total nine times this season and own a record of 8-1.
MID-SEASON LOVE WATCH
Junior center
Loudon Love was named to the Lou Henson Award mid-season Watch List, announced on Jan. 9. The award is presented annually to the nation's top Division I mid-major player. Love was previously named to the award's preseason watch list released in November. The 2019-20 Lou Henson National Player of the Year Award will be announced in April 2020 in Atlanta, Georgia.
