Wright State women's basketball head coach Katrina Merriweather announced Monday afternoon that Zora Fray-Chinn has signed to continue her academic and athletic career at Wright State next fall.
"We are constantly in search of student-athletes who believe in the importance of citizenship, academic achievement, and have a strong desire for being a part of our basketball family," said Merriweather. "Zora exceeds all expectations and will bring strong perimeter skills to our team."
Fray-Chinn, a 5'11" guard, tallied 297 total points as a junior last season, along with 123 rebounds and 62 assists, as she helped Timber Creek High School to a 23-8 record and clinching the regional title advancing to the Florida 7A State Final Four (first time in school history).
The Orlando native was an All-County Third Team selection during her sophomore season after tallying 303 points and would go on to be selected to the First Team following her junior season.
"We are thrilled she chose Wright State," Merriweather said. "We look forward to the impact she will have during her career here."
Wright State won 19 games last season and were selected to finish third in the 2020-21 Horizon League preseason poll.
