Women's Basketball opens 2020-21 this week
11/30/2020 1:30:00 PM | Women's Basketball
The Wright State women's basketball team opens the 2020-21 season inside the Nutter Center on Wednesday afternoon, hosting Bradley to begin the new year. The Raiders will then close out the week on the road with a trip to Michigan on Sunday.
Fans can follow Wednesday's action by watching on ESPN3/ESPN+. Broadcast information for Sunday's game will be announced once it is available.
While fans will not be physically inside the Nutter Center to open the season, Raider fans are still able to show their support during the upcoming season through the Nutter Center Virtual Sellout campaign. The campaign enables fans to have a (virtual) seat in the arena, while cheering on the team from home.

Bradley finished 2019-20 with a 22-7 record and a 13-5 mark in the MVC and were selected second in the MVC Preseason Poll – its highest in school history – after the first back-to-back 20-win campaigns in school history. These two teams last met in 2014 during the Wright State Invitational, with the Raiders topping the Braves 87-71.
Bradley is 1-1 so far on the young season, earning a 14-point win over Kansas City to begin the year on November 25 before falling 65-60 to Milwaukee out of the Horizon League on November 28.
Michigan complied a 21-11 overall record and finished with a 10-8 mark in the Big Ten. Michigan knocked off a pair of ranked teams (No. 11 Northwestern, No. 18 Iowa) during the 2019-20 campaign. The last matchup between the two squads came in the second round of the WNIT in March 2017 with the Wolverines knocking out the Raiders, 71-66.
Michigan is off to a 2-0 start, defeating Central Michigan on November 25 and Oakland out of the Horizon League on November 27, both at home.
