The Wright State women's basketball team tips off its 2020-2021 campaign Wednesday afternoon inside the Nutter Center as the Raiders welcome the Bradley Braves for a 2 p.m. tipoff.

While fans will not be physically inside the Nutter Center to open the season, Raider fans are still able to show their support during the upcoming season through the Nutter Center Virtual Sellout campaign. For just the third time in program history, the Raiders and Braves will face off against each other. In the last meeting, Wright State defeated Bradley 87-71 on December 21, 2013 during the Wright State Invitational. The two schools first met during the 1989-90 season, with Bradley tallying a 64-50 victory over Wright State.
Bradley finished 2019-20 with a 22-7 record and a 13-5 mark in the MVC and was selected second in the MVC Preseason Poll – its highest in school history – after its first back-to-back 20-win campaigns in school history.
Bradley is 1-1 so far on the young season, earning a 14-point win over Kansas City to begin the year on November 25 before falling 65-60 to Milwaukee out of the Horizon League on November 28.
The Raiders return eight players from last season's roster that finished 19-12 overall and 13-5 in conference play. Redshirt sophomore
Shamarre Hale was named the Horizon League Freshman of the Year while junior
Angel Baker was named to the All-League First Team. Sophomore
Jada Roberson was named to the All-Freshman team and senior
Tyler Frierson was selected to the All-Defensive team.
In early November, Wright State received 118 total points as the Raiders were selected to finish third in the 2020-21 Horizon League preseason poll. While juniorÂ
