The Wright State women's basketball team defeated Detroit Mercy 73-43, to sweep the series and record its second consecutive Horizon League win of the 2020-21 season, as 14 different Raiders contributed to the score line Sunday afternoon in Detroit.  
With the win, Wright State improves to 2-2 overall and 2-0 in Horizon League play, while Detroit Mercy falls of 0-6 overall and 0-2 in HL action. The Raiders will return home and welcome Oakland to the Nutter Center for the final two contests of 2020.
Wright State took control of the contest early, outscoring Detroit Mercy 18-9 at the end of the first quarter. The Raiders would continue the momentum, going on an 8-0 run over four minutes in the second quarter heading into the locker room up 34-17. The second half of the contest, much like the first, saw Wright State outscore Detroit Mercy 39-26 over the final twenty minutes.

Jada Roberson, and 
KK White all turned in nine point outings for the Raiders, led by White's 8 rebounds. Baker finished the contest shooting 3-for-6 from the field and added a team leading four assists. Roberson was 4-for-6 from the field, while White finished 4-for-10 from the field and tallied three assists. 
Tyler Frierson added eight points, going a perfect 3-for-3 from the field and 2-for-2 from the line, pulling down seven rebounds. 
Gabrielle Redden and 
Emani Jefferson both contributed seven points to stat line for Wright State.
 
The Raiders shot 50.9 percent for the game, while the Titans converted on just 25.6 percent of their shots. Wright State converted four shots beyond the arc while Detroit Mercy had three such opportunities. The Raiders finished the afternoon shooting 54.2 percent (13-for-24) from the free throw line while the Titans connected on 18 of their 26 opportunities (69.2 percent). 44 of Wright State's points came from inside the paint, while Detroit Mercy tallied just 12.
The Raiders won the battle on the boards, out rebounding the Titans 41-29 overall with 14offensive rebounds and 27 defensive. Detroit Mercy finished the night with 8 offensive and 21 defensive rebounds. Notably, Wright State's bench tallied 41 points while Detroit Mercy recorded just 12.
