
Wright State set for final homestand, welcome IUPUI Thursday

The Wright State women's basketball team opens its final homestand of the season this week, beginning on Thursday night when the Raiders welcome IUPUI to town for the first of three straight home contests. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. inside the Nutter Center.

Wright State is 14-10 overall and 9-4 in Horizon League play coming into Thursday's matchup, while IUPUI is 18-6 overall with a league leading 12-1 mark in HL play.
The Raiders are coming off a 75-73 comeback victory at Cleveland State last Saturday afternoon, outscoring the Vikings 24-18 in the third quarter after trailing 27-33 at halftime and going on a 6-0 run in the fourth quarter to outscore Cleveland State 24-22. Wright State out rebounded the Vikings 46-32, while Cleveland State had a 32-28 advantage off of points in the paint. Notably, Wright State's bench finished with 33 points to CSU's four.
Redshirt freshman Shamarre Hale had a team-leading 18 points for the Raiders and finished the contest shooting 8-for-10 from the field and 2-for-4 from the free throw line. Hale pulled down a team-high nine rebounds and recorded one steal in 18 minutes of action. Angel Baker and Anisja Harris both added 17 points for Wright State, as Baker finished the contest shooting 6-for-17 from the field, 2-for-5 from three point range and 3-for-4 from the line. The sophomore pulled down six rebounds and had two steals against the Vikings. Harris finished the contest 5-for-9 from the field, 4-for-7 from beyond the arc and a perfect 3-for-3 from the charity stripe. Teneshia Dixon added nine points for Wright State going 3-for-4 from the field, 3-for-5 from the line and pulled down seven rebounds for the Raiders. Freshman Jada Roberson added seven points and finished the contest 1-for-7 from the field and 5-for-6 from the line.
As a team, Wright State leads the Horizon League in total rebounds (1,032) and offensive rebounds per game (16.7) marks that rank the Raiders 5th most in the NCAA in both categories, respectively.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
- The Jags currently sit three games ahead of the Raiders for the top spot in the Horizon League standings, thanks to a current 12-game win streak. Since dropping the opening game of the league schedule to Youngstown State, IUPUI has not dropped a contest and have won every game by at least eight points with all but one being won by double digits.
- Austin Parkinson is in his tenth season at the helm of the IUPUI women's basketball program. Parkinson is the program's all-time wins leader who successfully transitioned the Jaguars from the Summit League to the Horizon League before the 2017-18 season and was named the 2017-18 Horizon League Coach of the Year for his success.
- Macee Williams led IUPUI with 31 points on 15-for-19 shooting and pulled down eight rebounds for the Jaguars against Oakland on Saturday, recording her 22nd double-digit contest in 24 games and her third 30+ point outing this season.
