Wright State women's basketball head coach Katrina Merriweather was part of the Horizon League's #OneHL video series on Wednesday. Last week, the Horizon League announced the "We Are All One Team" platform and this week began the #OneHL video series.
Coach Merriweather was one of five panelists from around the league on Wednesday's discussion, titled 'Dealing with Uncertainty and the Unknown, and the Anxiety that Results – COVID-19.' The discussion centered around the uncertainty of the times we live in due to COVID-19 and how our panelists lives have adjusted or changed as a result.
Other panelists included Chris Lawrence, Ph.D. (Northern Kentucky Associate Professor/Director of NKU Clinical Mental Health Program), Mike Gilmartin (UIC Associate Athletic Director), Maddie Yoss (Green Bay Former Volleyball Student-Athlete) and Felipe Hidalgo (Northern Kentucky Men's Tennis Student-Athlete).
Wednesday's session was the second discussion in the #OneHL video series, a three-part series is designed specifically to educate student-athletes and staff members regarding social and personal issues. Topics include racial and social injustice and mental health in times of uncertainty and transition. Panelists include Horizon League experts, administrators and student-athletes.
Wednesday's discussion can be seen in its entirety here. The complete video series can be found at HorizonLeague.com/OneHL.
