The Wright State golf team has released its spring 2021 schedule, which includes six tournaments leading up to postseason play as the Raiders return to the fairways for the first time since March 2020.
The Raiders will open team play in Savannah, GA at The Invitational at Savannah Harbor before returning to Georgia to start March at the Sea Palms Invitational in St. Simons Island. Wright State will also travel to North Carolina in mid-March for the Seahawk Intercollegiate and close the month with a short trip to compete at the NKU Classic. Wright State ends the regular season with a pair of local tournaments, playing in the Flyer Invitational in mid-April before hosting the Wright State Invitational, currently scheduled for April 18 and 19 at Heatherwoode Golf Club. Horizon League championship information, including dates and format, will be announced by the League once finalized.
The 2020 season was off to a hot start but came to a sudden and abrupt ending due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In seven events across their fall 2019 schedule and the start of the spring 2020 season, the Raiders tallied three team tournament wins and a pair of runner-up finishes, while Wright State also earned three individual player wins.
Wright State Athletics remains committed to ensuring the health, safety and well-being of our student-athletes, our staff and the campus and the community. All decisions will be made with the guidance provided by county, state, campus and Horizon League officials. In addition, all game dates and times are subject to change based on current protocols.
