The Wright State women's basketball team tallied just its second Horizon League loss of the season on the road at Robert Morris Friday afternoon, falling 50-43 to the Colonials, snapping a seven-game winning streak.
Wright State falls to 9-4 overall and 9-2 in conference action, while Robert Morris improves to 1-8 overall and 1-8 in Horizon League play.
Robert Morris scored first, as two Sol Castro free throws broke the score line and gave the Colonials a 2-0 lead. 
Tyler Frierson's layup with 7:22 left in the first quarter gave the Raiders their first points of the contest. Wright State went on a 5-0 run over two minutes to cut RMU's lead to just four as the final seconds ticked away in the first quarter. The second quarter saw the Raiders tally just nine points to the Colonials 13, as Wright State headed into the locker room down 29-21.
The third quarter saw back-and-fourth action as both teams tallied just 11 points before heading into the final 10 minutes. Wright State looked to cut RMU's lead in the fourth quarter as a steal by 
Channing Chappell set up 
Jada Wright's three-point shot just 50 seconds into the quarter, bringing the Raiders within five. With a little over five minutes left to play Frierson's layup and free-throw cut RMU's lead to just two points but that wouldn't be enough as Megan Callahan's three gave the Colonials the final advantage they needed.

Tyler Frierson tallied her second double-double of the season, recording 16 points and pulling down 11 rebounds to lead the Raiders, while 
Shamarre Hale and 
Jada Roberson each added seven points of their own.
Frierson finished the contest 6-for-9 from the field and 4-for-5 from the charity stripe, while also recording one block. Hale tallied her second-consecutive contest pulling down seven rebounds and finishing the contest with one block. Roberson lead the team at the free throw line, finishing the contest 5-for-8 while also recording a game-high four assists.
The Raiders shot just 24.1 percent for the game, while the Colonials shot 34.5 percent for the contest. Wright State recorded 13 points off Robert Morris turnovers, while the Colonials tallied a close 12. RMU won the battle in the paint, inching out Wright State 22-20 in total points.
Wright State won the battle on the boards for the 12th consecutive contest, out rebounding Robert Morris a close 43-41 overall. In a rare occasion, RMU won the defensive battle on the boards, pulling down 29 rebounds to WSU's 26. The offensive side of things side Wright State pull down 16 to the Colonials 12.
