DAYTON – The Wright State women's soccer team closes the regular season with back-to-back home matches at Alumni Field, beginning Saturday afternoon as the Raiders host UIC at Alumni Field. Saturday's match is slated for a 1 p.m. start and will feature Senior Day activities.

The Raiders (4-9-3, 2-5-2 HL) are coming off a 3-1 road loss on Sunday, their fourth straight defeat, while UIC has lost three in a row and enters Saturday with a 1-11-3 overall mark with a 1-6-2 Horizon League record. The Flames are winless on the road this season at 0-8-2.
With two matches remaining in the regular season, the Raiders currently sit eighth in the Horizon League standings with eight points, two points back of Youngstown State and Cleveland State, who enter the weekend tied for the final postseason spot.
After Saturday's match, Wright State closes the regular season with an October 27 matchup at home against Northern Kentucky.
Destiny Johnson's five goals leads the Raider offense, while
Olga Massombo and
Josie Krupp have each added three goals of their own. Johnson's 23 shot attempts paces the Raiders in that category as well, while six other players have recorded double-digit shot attempts to date:

Kaylin Helinski and Krupp (16 each). Borchert has a team-leading 14 attempts on frame so far this season.
UIC has lost its last three matches and is winless on the road, with its last win coming back on October 7 at home. The Flames have just six goals scored on the season – three from Kaitlyn Montague, two from Megan Bowman and a single goal from Quinn Ruiz – while Montague's 28 total shots and 14 attempts on frame lead the team in those categories. Lena Kurz has started all 15 games for UIC and has allowed 23 goals against 76 total saves.
