
Angel Baker named College Sports Madness' High Major Player of the Week

DAYTON – Wright State junior Angel Baker has been named the High Major national player of the week by College Sports Madness, the publication announced Monday. Additionally, Baker was also selected as the Horizon League player of the week by the publication.
Baker averaged 27.5 points and five rebounds as the Raiders completed the weekend sweep of Milwaukee. She opened with 27 points – shooting 12-for-24 on Friday and 3-for-5 from the line, adding a team-leading three assists and pulling down seven rebounds in the process as the Raiders handed the Panthers just their fourth loss of the season, 67-58.
The junior finished the weekend tallying her second-highest career outing in a Raider uniform, 28 points. Shooting 11-for-18 from the field and 5-for-8 from the free-throw line. The Indianapolis native pulled down three rebounds and added two assists as well.
Wright State is back in action this weekend on the road at Northern Kentucky Friday and Saturday.
