Angel Baker named Horizon League Player of the Week

DAYTON/INDIANAPOLIS - Wright State women's basketball junior Angel Baker has been named the Horizon League's Player of the Week, the league announced Monday Afternoon.
Baker averaged 27.5 points and five rebounds as the Raiders completed the weekend sweep of Milwaukee. She opened with 27 points – shooting 12-for-24 on Friday and 3-for-5 from the line, adding a team-leading three assists and pulling down seven rebounds in the process as the Raiders handed the Panthers just their fourth loss of the season, 67-58.
The junior finished the weekend tallying her second highest career outing in a Raider uniform, 28 points. Shooting 11-for-18 from the field and 5-for-8 from the free throw line. The Indianapolis native pulled down three rebounds and added two assists as well.
The Raiders are 13-5 on the season and 13-3 in Horizon League action. Wright State will return to the road and face off against Northern Kentucky, this weekend. The Raiders and Norse tipoff at 1 p.m. on Friday and 2 p.m. on Saturday.
