The Wright State men's soccer team tallied its fourth victory of the spring season on the road over Robert Morris 1-0, Tuesday morning.
With the win, the Raiders improve to 4-3-1 overall (4-3-1 HL) while Robert Morris falls to 1-5-1 overall (1-5-1 HL). Wright State is now in sixth place in the Horizon League standings heading into the final game of the season. This year's Horizon League Tournament is taking the top four teams only, based on league points per match.
Robert Morris earned an early corner kick in the 2nd minute but could not convert and was cleared out by the Raiders. Wright State earned a corner of their own in the 12th and just narrowly missed on converting when Rody Harrison pushed his effort wide.Â
After taking a ball at midfield,
Ludwig Conrad cut through the Colonial defense on a pass from
Presten Manthey in the 29th minute before pulling up near the corner of the 18-yard box, firing a hard strike past RMU's keeper into the upper left-hand corner to give the Raiders a 1-0 advantage. Conrad's goal in the 29th minute also marked both his first goal of the season and of his career.
Notably, Tuesday marked
Isaiah Slabaugh's first career shutout.

- Wright State found the advantage in total shots 18-10, while also earning a 9-3 edge in shots on goal. The Raiders outshot the Colonials 10-4 in the second half.
- Presten Manthey tallied a team-leading four shots (one on goal), while Joe Kouadio and Chris Geddis each recorded two shots (two on goal). Jared Edmonson and Zion Beaton also took two shots, with Edmonson had one shot on goal.
- In route to earning both his first shutout of the season and career, Slabaugh tallied three saves.Â
- Notably, Tuesday's match marked the second consecutive victory over Robert Morris dating back to a 2-0 victory over RMU on September 5, 2014.
