Women's soccer falls to NKU Monday

Box Score The Wright State women's soccer team dropped its final contest of the spring 2021 season Monday afternoon, 2-0 to the regular season champions Northern Kentucky.

With the loss, the Raiders finish the season 4-5-0 overall while the Norse finish 7-1-1 overall (6-0-1 HL) and have secured the No. 1 spot in the upcoming Horizon League Championship.

Following a scoreless first half, Northern Kentucky tallied its first goal just five minutes into the second half as Kailey Ivins put the hosts up 1-0. The Norse struck again in the 75th minute as Annie Greene tallied NKU's second goal of the contest.

The Raiders looked to counter in the 86th and 87th minutes as Brittney Petrosky and Kaley Mincy each looked to cut the deficit but their efforts would not be enough.
