Women’s Basketball back on the road

The Wright State women's basketball team will continue its 2021-22 campaign on the road against a pair of Horizon League opponents. The Raiders will stay in Ohio for a matchup at Cleveland State on Thursday, February 3, at 7 p.m., and follow with a 2 p.m. meeting at Purdue Fort Wayne on Saturday, February 5.
WSU is coming off home losses to Green Bay and Milwaukee. Green Bay led coast-to-coast en route to a 73-51 win. The Raiders were tied at 33-all to MKE in the second quarter, but the Panthers closed the period on a 14-4 run to head into the break on top, 46-37. Milwaukee began the third quarter on a 14-2 scoring spurt to build its lead to 60-39, which put the game out of reach.
Jada Roberson impressed by averaging 13.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 4.0 steals over the two-game stretch. Against Green Bay, Roberson had 10 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and four steals. She tallied 17 points, nine rebounds, five assists, and four steals in WSU's loss to Milwaukee. Roberson reached a key milestone versus the Panthers, as she eclipsed 100 career steals. The Muskegon, Mich., native led the team in field goals (12), total rebounds (16), offensive rebounds (9), assists (9), and steals (8) on the week.
As a team, Wright State dished out a combined 27 assists, its third-highest total over two games. The Raiders also knocked down seven-plus 3-pointers in consecutive games for the first time this season.
