The Norse have won eight of their last nine overall but are just 5-6 on the road this season. The Raiders have won four of the last five meetings inside the Nutter Center, but haven't hosted Northern Kentucky since Jan. 24, 2020 - a 95-64 Raider win on ESPNU. The second meeting in 2019-20 was in Highland Heights, KY, as were both meetings during last year's COVID-altered year and this season's first matchup. Wright State and Northern Kentucky have previously met 41 times, with the Raiders holding a 27-14 advantage in the series as winners of five of the last six meetings overall. The first-ever meeting came Dec. 6, 1972, a 91-87 Raider win at Northern Kentucky.

The Norse close the regular season with three of their final five games on the road, with a trip north to take on Detroit Mercy and Oakland following Sunday's game. NKU is 5-6 on the road this season, but all five road wins have come in Horizon League play (5-3) - including four in a row. NATIONAL ATTENTION
Tanner Holden (81% FT) has made 145 free throws on 180 total attempts, both of which lead the country through Friday's games. Holden's 523 total points scored is No. 6 in the country, while his 20.1 points per game average is No. 17 nationally.
Grant Basile's rebound work is also among the best in the nation: ranking 18th nationally with 226 total rebounds, No. 36 nationally in total rebounds/game average with his 8.7 boards per contest and No. 44 in the country with his 6.15 defensive rebounds/game average.
INTERESTING, BUT TRUE..
With the recent additions of
Grant Basile and
Tanner Holden, there are now 15 players in Wright State program history who have amassed over 1,000 points and more than 500 rebounds. Amazingly, 14 of 15 have seen their careers overlap with at least one other member of the 1,000/500 club.
