Men's Soccer tallies road win at Green Bay

GREEN BAY – The Wright State men's soccer team scored early and often Saturday afternoon as the Raiders tallied their first win of the year with a 3-1 road victory in Horizon League play.

The Raiders (1-3-3, 1-0-1 HL), who had recorded ties in their last two contests, outshot Green Bay (3-2-1, 0-1-0 HL) 12-11 despite the hosts having a 10-6 advantage in shots on goal.

Wright State jumped ahead on Nico Likulia's score in the 13th minute as he found the bottom left corner of the net off a pair of assists from Kobe Perlaza and Reece Allbaugh. It was Likulia's third point of the season and his first goal as a Raider.

The lead doubled later in the half on Joe Kouadio's third goal of the year, as he found the back of the net in the 25th minute of action. Wright State's final tally of the afternoon came in the 62nd minute when Conner Osterholt beat Green Bay keeper Tobias Jahn for his second goal of the season.

Green Bay's lone goal came late in the match when Kajus Kontautas scored in the 86th minute.

Kouadio's three shots led the Wright State offense, while Likulia and Allbaugh each finished off the victory with a pair of shots each as eight different Raiders recorded shots. Green Bay was paced by Keegan Walker's four shots, all of which were on target, while Josh Johansen added three shots of his own.

Raider goalkeeper Sebastian Jimenez tied a season-high with eight saves between the pipes while Jahn recorded three saves in the losing effort.

Wright State returns home to Alumni Field for a matchup with Northern Kentucky next Saturday, with first kick slated for 7 p.m. and action expected to be streamed on ESPN+.
