DAYTON — The Wright State women's basketball program made a school record 18 3-pointers but fell to Cleveland State 103-72 on Friday night inside the Nutter Center.
Wright State dropped to 2-17 overall and 1-8 against Horizon League competition, while the Vikings improved to 17-2 on the season and 8-1 in HL play to remain atop the conference standings.
WSU finished 18-of-42 (43.3%) from beyond the arc, which included an 11-of-23 (47.8%) mark in the second half.

Bryce Nixon,
Isabelle Bolender,
Cara VanKempen, and
Channing Chappell knocked down three 3-pointers apiece in the record-breaking performance.
Scott scored a team-leading 15 points on 6-of-10 shooting to pace the Raiders in the loss. Baumhower and Bolender reached double figures with 11 points, while Nixon, Chappell, and VanKempen scored nine points.
The Raiders also dished out a season-high 23 assists on their 26 field goals.
Emily Chapman and Nixon recorded six assists to lead the way.
Wright State faced a 56-27 halftime deficit after being doubled in scoring in the opening two quarters of play. Cleveland State shot 56.8% (21-of-37) in the first half, including a 9-of-17 (52.9%) mark on threes and 13 second-chance points. Meanwhile, the Raiders were held to 37% (10-of-27) shooting and no free throws.
WSU heated up with 23 points on 9-of-19 (47.3%) shooting and five 3-pointers in the third quarter, led by Bolender with eight points. However, Cleveland State continued to thrive offensively with 34 points over the 10 minutes, building its advantage to 90-50.
The Raiders were at their best in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Vikings 22-13. WSU shot 7-of-14 (50%) overall and 6-of-10 (60%) from deep in the span. Baumhower scored eight of her 11 total points in the final quarter.
CSU's Destiny Leo finished with a game-high 30 points on 9-of-14 shooting, highlighted by 23 points in the first half alone. Brittni Moore added 15 points, while Jordan Reisma and Sara Guerreiro scored 11 points. The Vikings led the rebound battle 45-22 and scored 50 points in the paint compared to 14 by Wright State.
The Raiders will continue their weekend homestand on Sunday at 1 p.m. versus Purdue Fort Wayne.
