DAYTON — Three Raiders will compete at the Raleigh Relays hosted by NC State at the Paul Derr Track & Field facility on Thursday, March 23.

Ian Johnson will participate in the 1,500-meter run in a field of 222 competitors. Alex McCarty and Max Pettit will be among 262 individuals racing in the 5,000-meter run.

The 1500m will start at 4:30 p.m. and consist of 15 sections (one every four minutes). The 5,000-meter run will commence at 6:33 p.m. and have ten sections. Live results will be available for the entirety of the meet.

WSU's distance trio opened the 2023 outdoor season at last Friday's Miami Blizzard Buster. Johnson headlined the Raider men, as he earned second overall with a time of 3:55.85 in the 1,500-meter run. The newcomer claimed third in the Raider Top-10 list with the runner-up mark. Alex McCarty earned third place in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 8:41.21, followed by Max Pettit in 11th (8:57.50).
