WESTERVILLE, Ohio — The Wright State men's and women's track and field teams finished with two wins and 21 top-10 finishes at the Otterbein Twilight Invitational on Friday at Memorial Stadium.
Cierra Lively tied for first out of 22 competitors in the women's high jump with a clearance of 1.58 meters.
Melissa Siler (7th, 1.53m),
Amelia Harlow (9th, 1.48), and
Tatiana Brown (9th, 1.48m) followed with top-10 finishes. Siler added a sixth-place finish in the women's javelin throw (29.37m).
Ian Johnson won the men's 800-meter run, crossing the finish line at 1:56.12.
Patrick Statzer was third overall in the event with a time of 1:59.07.
Kylee Thomas earned a runner-up finish in the women's 100-meter hurdle finals with a time of 15.40.
Bekah Robertson placed sixth in the 100-meter hurdle prelims (15.87) but did not compete in the finals.
A pair of Raiders tallied top-five marks in the 5,000-meter run, led by
Emma Johnson in fourth (18:15.31) and
Emma Shigley in fifth (18:16.93).
A trio of individuals finished top-10 in the women's long jump.
Briana Morrisette paced the way in fourth (4.75m), followed by
Callista Hess in fifth (4.68m) and Brown in eighth (4.58m).
The 4x400 meter replay team of
Mohamed Bilal, Statzer,
Michael Cole, and
John Steimle raced to fourth overall with a time of 3:32.57.
Ethan Neblock claimed fifth overall in the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase at 9:55.27.
Andy Neff tied for fifth in the high jump (1.65m) in addition to a 21st-place finish in the high jump (5.41m).
Siler added a sixth-place mark in the women's javelin throw (29.37m).
Meredith Goecke collected a top-10 finish in the pole vault, placing seventh at 3.08 meters.
Tayton Hess paced the Raiders in the men's mile run, taking eighth overall with a time of 4:32.80.
Ryan Cooper collected eighth place in the men's 5,000-meter run (15:26.77), while
Mia Wyngarden was ninth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:02.30.
