Raider Golfers tearing up the links so far this summer

DAYTON – It may be summer but it's a perfect time to hit the links, and members of the Wright State golf team have been busy playing in tournaments so far this summer. Here's a snapshot of some of the Raiders recent play –
Mikkel Mathiesen
Mathiesen finished tied for 25th at The Dogwood Invitational June 7-10 at Druid Hills Golf Club in suburban Atlanta. Mathiesen carded rounds of 74-73-65-70 to finish at six-under (282).
Andrew Flynn
Flynn finished tied for fourth at the 109th Kentucky Amateur, played June 13-15 at Kearney Hill Golf Links in Lexington, KY. Flynn finished five-under for the tournament after tallying rounds of 73-67-68 (208).
Adam Horn
Horn shot a three-under round of 67 to qualify for the 82nd Sunnehanna Amateur, played June 14-17 at Sunnehanna Country Club in Johnstown, PA. Horn went on to make the cut, shooting rounds of 70-70-71-74 (285) to finish at five-over.
Shane Ochs
Ochs recently set a new course record at Walnut Grove after carding a bogey-free round of 62.
Kye Fisher
Fisher, an incoming freshman Raider, won a pair of tournaments recently. He carded rounds of 75-68-67 to win the NextGen Prairie Championship by seven shots (June 16-18). Fisher followed that with a win at the MJT Future Stars Invitational June 23 and 24, firing rounds of 68 and 76. His win at the MJT Future Stars Invitational earned him a spot in the field at the ATB Classic on PGA Tour Canada (June 29-July 2).
Timmy Hollenbeck
Hollenbeck, an incoming freshman Raider, finished fourth at the Ohio Junior Championship at Miami Valley Golf Club June 12-14. Hollenbeck shot rounds of 71 and 68 (139) to finish three-under.
Ian Asch, Andrew Flynn, Timmy Hollenbeck, Adam Horn, Shane Ochs, Brock Rumpke
All six Raiders in the field advanced to match play in the 114th Tony Blom Metropolitan Championship at Clovernook Country Club in Cincinnati to close the month. Flynn advanced to the elite eight and Horn made it to the final four.
