MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. — Goalkeeper
Kiera Sarka posted her first collegiate shutout as the Wright State women's soccer program played to a 0-0 draw at Central Michigan on Sunday afternoon at the CMU Soccer Complex.
Sarka finished with a career-high nine saves in the shutout performance, good for the most by a Raider since the 2021 spring season. She matched her previous collegiate high in saves with five in the first half before turning away four more Chippewa attempts in the second period.
Wright State (1-2-1) was outshot 24-7 in the tie, led by
Lauren Borchert with a team-leading three strikes.
Kaylin Helinski,
Sophia Kuerze, and
Ainsley Terada added shots on goal, which all transpired in the first half.
The Raiders made a late push with three shots in the final 10 minutes of the second half. However, all three shots were fired off-target.
Wright State will continue its season at Morehead State on Wednesday, August 30. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. at Jayne Stadium.
