Golf heads to eastern Ohio for Virtues Intercollegiate

DAYTON – The Wright State golf team makes a much shorter trip for action this week, only traveling across the state for the Virtues Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday. Action gets underway with 36 holes on Monday before the final round on Tuesday.

The Raiders finished tied for ninth at the VCU Shootout last week, with Mikkel Mathiesen carding an eight-under total to finish tied for tenth individually to lead the way.

The Virtues Golf Club will play as a par 72, 7,243-yard course this week. Along with the Raiders, the tournament field will also include: Bowling Green, Butler, Cleveland State, Eastern Kentucky, George Washington, James Madison, Longwood, Marshall, Miami (OH), Michigan, Northern Kentucky, Ohio, Purdue Fort Wayne, Robert Morris and Youngstown State.

Following action this week, Wright State will wrap up its fall schedule with the Dayton Flyer Invitational at NCR Country Club on October 16 and 17.
