DAYTON — The Wright State women's soccer program celebrated Senior Day with a 1-0 victory over Oakland at Alumni Field.
The Raiders improved to 5-4-2 on the season and 3-1 in HL play with their third consecutive win at home. OU dropped to 3-5-4 overall and 1-1-2 against conference opponents.
Addy Canter headlined Wright State's attack with her first collegiate goal in the 41st minute of the opening half.
Marina Ruthsatz forced Oakland's goalkeeper away from the net on the score, which led to Canter having an open shot to the back of the net.
WSU's offense finished the match with 11 shots, including four on frame.
Lauren Borchert fired a team-leading four shots, while
Kaylin Helinski added two strikes.

Kiera Sarka tallied seven saves en route to her third shutout performance of the 2023 season. The senior notched six of her seven saves in the second half, highlighted by four in the closing 20 minutes of play. She recorded her final save of the match in the 88th minute to seal the Raider win.
Despite not scoring, Oakland applied pressure to WSU's back line with 14 total shots, seven strikes on goal, and six corners. Lorelai Miller led the way with three shots.
Wright State will look to carry its home momentum into next Thursday's match versus IUPUI at Alumni Field. The conference matchup will start at 7 p.m. and broadcast live on ESPN+.
