GREEN BAY – The Wright State women's basketball team slipped up Sunday afternoon on the road, falling to Horizon League-leading Green Bay by a 77-59 score.
Wright State (12-10, 6-5 Horizon) now returns home for a pair of contests inside the Nutter Center, beginning Wednesday night at 7 p.m. when Oakland comes to town.
On Sunday, the Raiders shot 43 percent and saw nine different players contribute in the scoring column, led by
Alexis Hutchison's 17 points, while she added six rebounds and five assists to her final stat line.
Rachel Loobie pulled down a game-high seven rebounds as she and
Lauren Scott both tallied eight points and two steals, while
Jada Tate chipped in seven points and
Claire Henson added six points of her own off the bench.
A 14-point margin at the break, Green Bay (17-4, 10-1 Horizon) scored 13 of the first 16 points in the third quarter to grab control of the contest. The Raiders scored nine of the first 12 points to begin the fourth quarter but was unable to close the margin down the stretch.
Wright State was 23-of-54 overall from the floor on the way to the 43 percent shooting mark, connecting on 7-of-26 (27 percent) from three-point range, with three of the triples coming in the first quarter. The Raiders went to the free throw line only seven times, hitting six (86 percent). Green Bay shot 49 percent (30-of-61) overall and was 9-of-19 (47 percent) from three-point range. The hosts finished 62 percent (8-of-13) from the free throw line.
Jasmine Kondrakiewicz led Green Bay with 20 points, while three other players all tallied 13 points for the hosts in the win.
