Raiders return home for a pair this weekend

DAYTON — The Wright State women's basketball team returns home to the Nutter Center for a pair of contests this weekend, beginning with a 7 p.m. Friday night matchup against Milwaukee. The Raiders come into the game on a three-game winning streak while Milwaukee has lost its last two contests. Fans can keep up with the action by watching on ESPN+ or following live stats.

LAST TIME OUT
Layne Ferrell scored 20 of her 25 points after halftime as the Wright State women's basketball team defeated Robert Morris 80-77 in overtime on Sunday afternoon as the Raiders connected on a season-high 14 three-pointers. Ferrell's 25 points were her most as a Raider, matching a 25-point performance she had in March 2021 against Ohio while at Akron, and was her fifth game with double digit points in the last six contests. Hutchison finished with 14 points and a season-best 10 rebounds for her first double-double as a Raider, while Makiya Miller used three three-pointers on the way to a season-best 12 points of her own. Kacee Baumhower was the final Wright State player in double figures with 11 points.

The Raiders' Dec. 31 win was their ninth victory, their most in a season under head coach Kari Hoffman. Wright State begins the weekend 5-1 at home.
