STROTHERS, OH – The Wright State bowling team opened play at the Penguin Classic on Friday afternoon, going 2-3 in the first day of action to sit in 11th in the 16-team field.

Saturday's action will feature five traditional matches, with the final match on Sunday being a best-of-seven Baker match.
Teams bowled five head-to-head Baker matches on Friday, with the Raiders grabbing wins over (RV) Lewis (918-868) as well as Roberts Wesleyan (997-899) while falling to powerhouse No. 5 Nebraska (1,1199-936), (RV) Bryant (888-865) and tournament host No. 3 Youngstown State (997-830).
The Raiders finished with a 4,546 total pinfall on Friday with a 181.8 average game score.
Saturday's traditional matches will see Wright State square off against (RV)Central Missouri, No. 19 Valparaiso, No. 21 McKendree, No. 2 Arkansas State and Morgan State.
