DAYTON – The Wright State men's basketball team hit the floor at the Nutter Center for the first time in 2024-25 on Saturday night, as the Raiders rolled past visiting Wilmington 108-59 in exhibition action.
The Raiders now prep for their season opener on November 4 at Kentucky, kicking off a busy week that will also see the home opener against Ohio Christian back inside the Nutter Center on November 6 and a trip to regional foe Miami (OH) on November 9.
On Saturday, all 14 Raiders saw action on the floor, none over 24 minutes, as Wright State shot 56.5 percent overall as a group and got scoring contributions from 12 different players.
Logan Woods and
Ayden Davis each finished with a game-best 13 points while
Jack Doumbia and
Alex Bruskotter each knocked in 12 points.
Keaton Norris was the final Raider in double digits with 11 points, while five other players had between seven and nine points in the tune-up contest.
Michael Imariagbe pulled down 10 rebounds to pace all players as Wright State saw 13 players grab at least one board and eight Raiders collected three or more rebounds. The Raiders connected on 11 three-pointers to go along with the 56.5 percent overall shooting, tallying assists on 22 of 39 made baskets. Defensively, Wright State held Wilmington to 28.4 percent overall shooting.
The Raiders officially open the season on November 4 at Kentucky in a nationally televised contest on ESPNU. Season tickets, single game tickets and once-a-month plan packs are on sale for the Raiders' 2024-25 home slate.
