COLUMBUS – The Wright State bowling team opened its 2024-25 campaign with a third-place finish in the Ohio Bowling Conference's Event 1 at Columbus Square Bowling Palace on Saturday as three Raiders finished inside the Top 50 individually.
The Raiders tallied 4,738 total pins, finishing just behind second-place St. Vincent and champion Muskingum.
Wright State was represented by
Faith Ford,
Aiyana Godwin,
Emma Hatfield,
Anna Johns,
Kennedy Moore,
Paige Patterson,
Kiandra Smith,
Alina Stebbins and
Heather Walker in Columbus.
Patterson led the way individually, finishing tied for 12th as she bowled all four games and shot 685 for a 171 average. Goodwin tallied a 590 total for a 196 average in three games bowled to finish 40th, while Walker bowled three games as well, finishing 47th with her 562 total and 187 average.
The Raiders will also competing at the Mercyhurst Invitational on Saturday and Sunday as part of their opening action of the season.
