DAYTON – The Wright State bowling team turned in first- and fifth place finishes over the weekend in two different divisions as Wright State hosted the Raider Classic.
The Green squad finished fifth in its 17-team division with a 7,615 total pinfall count, while the Gold group finished first in its three-team bracket with a 7,623 total pinfall.
Mia Sayles was the top Raider finisher, tallying a 12th place finish overall with 976 total pins and a 195.2 average, with
Alina Stebbins right behind her in 13th with a 970 total pinfall and 195.2 average.
Aiyana Godwin (16th),
Faith Ford (22nd) and
Addyson Meshew (26th) were also inside the top 30 individually, with Godwin turning in a 189.6 average (948 total pins), Ford collecting a 185.4 average (927 total pins) and Meshew finishing with a 183 average (915 total pins).
Stebbins, Ford and Godwin each receiving individual awards for their play.
Wright State concludes its fall schedule next Saturday when the Raiders make the quick trip to Columbus to take part in Ohio Bowling Conference Event 3.
