DAYTON – Wright State head women's basketball coach Kari Hoffman signed Elaina Rager on Wednesday afternoon. Rager has signed an Athletics Aid Agreement to continue her education and join the Raider roster beginning next fall.
"We are thrilled to add Elaina to the Raider Family! She is an elite competitor and models all of our core values extremely well," Hoffman said. "Her ability to make plays on both ends of the ball with her strength and athleticism will bring so much value to our program!"
The Pecatonica, Illinois, native has made waves at Pecatonica High School. A three, going on four, year varsity starter, Rager broke the school's single season scoring record as a freshman (399 points), breaking her own record the following year with 513 points. In January, Rager had recorded 1290 career points, a program record.
Rager has been named to the All-Conference First Team all three years of high school. She was an All-State special mention her first two years, and was named to the All-State third team this past season.
The future Raider played club basketball for the Wisconsin Lakers, competing in the Select 40 Power 24 League.
