COLUMBUS – The Wright State bowling team grabbed first place in both divisions in the Ohio Bowling Conference's Event 3 at Columbus Square Bowling Palace on Saturday to wrap up the fall schedule.
The Raiders had three squads representing Wright State: the Green squad finished first in its division, while the White and Gold squads tallied first and second place finishes in their divisions.
The Green squad tallied 5,391 total pins for a 192 average, finishing ahead of second-place UNOH by just shy of 200 pins. In the other division, the White group 4,800 total pins for a 171 average for their first place finish with the Gold squad tallying 4,666 total pins and averaging a 166 in second.
Wright State had four finishers in the Top 15 in the first division, with
Natalie Hanson finishing second overall with a 197 pinfall average.
Jada Baker finished 10th (191 pinfall average), followed by
Addyson Meshew (12th, 185 average) and
Allison Shattuck (t13th, 184 average).
The Raiders dominated the top of the other division, with eight finishers inside the Top 10, led by
Paige Patterson in second with her 181 pinfall average, followed by
Faith Ford (3rd, 178 average),
Aiyana Godwin (4th, 175 average) and
Kennedy Moore (5th, 174 average).
Emma Hatfield (6th, 172 average),
Alina Stebbins (7th, 171 average),
Jasmine Schulze (8th, 168) and
Heather Walker (9th, 167) rounded out the top finishers in the division.
Hanson, Patterson, Ford, Godwin and Moore each received individual awards for their high finishes on Saturday.
Saturday's event wrapped up the fall portion of Wright State's schedule, with the Raiders resuming action in mid-January at the Northeast Classic in Delaware January 17-19.
