Women's Basketball set to meet Cleveland State Wednesday night

DAYTON — The Wright State women's basketball team makes a quick midweek trip to northeast Ohio to take on Cleveland State on Wednesday night in a 7 p.m. tipoff. Fans can keep up with the action by watching on ESPN+ or following live stats.

LAST TIME OUT
Wright State scored nine of the final 12 points in the first quarter on Friday night and never gave up control from there, as the Raiders grabbed a 59-53 victory over Detroit Mercy inside the Nutter Center. Alexis Hutchison scored 14 of her game-high 23 points in the first half as she finished the night 7-of-13 shooting overall with a 7-of-7 mark at the free throw line while adding six rebounds, two assists and a steal as the lone Raider in double figures scoring. Six other Wright State players tallied points, with Lauren Scott chipping in nine points and Kacee Baumhower filling her stat line with eight points, four rebounds and three assists. Rachel Loobie had seven points as she, Hutchison and Layne Ferrell all pulled down six rebounds.

SETTING THE WAY
Wright State's Jan. 31 win over Oakland was their seventh victory in Horizon League action this season, the most HL wins the Raiders' have had under head coach Kari Hoffman. Five of the Raiders' six HL wins a season ago came after January 28, while they also added a road victory in the first round of the Horizon League Tournament on the road against Oakland.

Wright State has picked up eight wins at home to date with a 62% home winning percentage, but the Raiders have also grabbed six wins away from home, with five victories in true road games to date. Entering the year, Wright State had a combined five true road wins over the last two seasons.
