
Women's Basketball earns No. 4 seed, Thursday home game in next week's #HLWBB Quarterfinal

DAYTON/INDIANAPOLIS – The Wright State women's basketball team has secured the No. 4 seed in the 2024 Barbasol Horizon League Women's Basketball Championship, released on Saturday by the Horizon League office. The Raiders earn a first round bye and will host No. 5 Milwaukee on Thursday night inside the Nutter Center.
Tipoff time for Thursday's quarterfinal matchup will be announced following the conclusion of the men's basketball regular season later Saturday night.

The Raiders enter the postseason with a 17-14 overall mark and tallied a 11-9 Horizon League record, closing the regular season with a 66-56 road victory over Detroit Mercy earlier on Saturday. Milwaukee is 16-15 overall with a 10-10 HL record, while the Raiders and Panthers split the two regular season meetings with both grabbing wins on their home floors back in January.
No. 1 seed Cleveland State, No. 2 Green Bay and No. 3 Purdue Fort Wayne each also earned first round byes and will host quarterfinal matchups on Thursday night. In opening round action Tuesday night, No. 6 seed Detroit Mercy will host No. 11 seed RMU, No. 10 seed IUPUI will travel to No. 7 seed Youngstown State and No. 8 seed Oakland will host No. 9 seed Northern Kentucky.
Winners from Thursday's four quarterfinal matchups will advance to Indianapolis for semifinal action on Monday, March 11, with the Championship slated for noon on Tuesday, March 12.
Every game of the championship will be carried on ESPN networks with the first three rounds of the Barbasol Horizon League Women's Basketball Championship streamed on ESPN+ and the championship game broadcast on ESPNU.
