Raiders sixth after day one action

ADDISON, IL – The Wright State bowling team is sixth after the opening day of action at the USBC Sectionals at Stardust Bowl in the Chicagoland area.

Wright State and the rest of the 23-team field bowled a pair of four game Baker blocks on Saturday, with the Raiders totaling 6,051 total pins across the two blocks. Sunday action begins at 7:45 a.m. and features two more four game Baker blocks, with the final block of the afternoon session being a position round. 
 
The Raiders were fourth after Saturday morning's four game block with 3,013 total pins before tallying 3,038 pins in the afternoon block on the way to their 6,051 total. Wright State will enter Sunday just 10 pins behind fifth-place McKendree and 44 pins behind fourth-place St. Francis (IL). Mount Mercy University is leading after day one with 6,611 pins, followed by Duquesne (6,351) and Saint Xavier University (6,194).
