Raiders grab 15 Top 5 finishes at Redhawk Classic

OXFORD, OH – The Wright State track & field teams tallied 15 Top 5 finishes throughout the days' action at the Redhawk Classic on Saturday at Miami (OH), the Raiders' final tuneup before next weekend's Horizon League Championships.

The Raiders took home the top spot in both the men's and women's high jump, with Jahi McDonald clearing 1.93m and Cierra Lively clearing 1.70m on the women's side. Oliver Murray finished second in the men's pole vault with his 4.10m mark, while Callista Hess was third in the women's triple jump with her mark of 10.28m. Lylla Kovacs was second in the women's 100m hurdles with a time of 14.66 seconds and also added to her afternoon with a fifth-place finish in the women's long jump with her 5.42m mark. Abby Puckett also turned in a pair of quality marks, finishing fifth in the same women's 100m hurdles (16.07) and grabbing sixth in the women's javelin with a mark of 24.09m.

Alex Combs was the third Wright State winner, claiming the men's 5,000m run with his 19:54.60 time, while Jude Elkins was second in the men's 110m hurdles with a time of 14.91 seconds and Colin Stoltz finished fifth in the men's 100m race with his 11.03-second time. The women's 1,500m run saw a pair of Raiders in the Top 5, with Anna Johnson finishing third with a time of 5:07.75 and Shelby Hept close behind a 5:21.37 mark in fifth. The Wright State women's 4 x 100m relay team - Ava Bosticco, Kovacs, Brooke Thompson, Hannah Falknor – grabbed a second-place finish with a time of 48.77, while Mia Wyngarden finished third in the women's 800m with a time of 2:17.93. Faulkner (fifth, 25.23 seconds) and Bosticco (sixth, 25.81 seconds) wrapped up the day's event list with two more quality finishes in the women's 200m race.
