Lively captures High Jump title on Friday in northeast Ohio

BEREA, OH – Wright State's Cierra Lively took home the top spot in Friday afternoon's women's high jump competition at the 2024 Harrison Dillard Twilight meet, hosted by Baldwin Wallace.

Lively won Friday's action with a top clearance of 1.72m before just missing at a mark of 1.76m, which would have been a new personal-best mark. Her 1.72m clearance on Friday was .03m above the rest of the field, with two other competitors topping out at 1.69m after both missed at the 1.72m mark.

Lively's 1.72m clearance on Friday is her third-best clearance of the year behind her 1.73m clearance at the NKU Invitational and a personal-best 1.75m clearance at the Jesse Owens Classic, both in mid-April. She has cleared 1.70m or higher five times this season across the indoor and outdoor meet schedule after entering the year never having cleared over 1.67m.

Lively now awaits selections for the NCAA East Prelims later this month to see if her marks will qualify.
