Rylee Sagester Named #HLWBB Freshman of the Week

INDIANAPOLIS – Wright State women's basketball's Rylee Sagester has been named Horizon League Freshman of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon. Sagester is the first Raider to receive HL weekly honors this season.

A native of West Alexandria, Ohio, Sagester helped the team to their first two HL wins, defeating Detroit Mercy 67-64 on Wednesday evening, and Youngstown State 77-62 on Sunday. Over the two games, Sagester shot 53.8 percent from the floor and 62.5 percent from three, going five-of-eight from behind the arc. She averaged 10 points per game, leading the team alongside Claire Henson with 15 points against UDM, sinking four-of-five from three.

Wright State will play again on Wednesday, January 15, traveling to IU Indy for a 6:30 p.m. game. Fans can keep up with the action through live stats and the ESPN+ livestream. The Raiders will return home on Thursday, January 23 to take on Green Bay for a 7 p.m. game.
