DAYTON – The Wright State volleyball team served up 13 aces on Friday night in a three set sweep over visiting Milwaukee inside McLin Gymnasium as a trio of Raiders finished with double digit kills and
Katie Sowko notched her 10th double-double of the season.

On Friday, Wright State (13-6, 7-1 Horizon League) jumped out to early leads in all three sets and forced Milwaukee (3-18, 3-5 Horizon League) to try and dig out of scoring holes, with the Raiders finishing the night with a .260 team attacking percentage and the visiting Panthers hitting .112 after an opening set -0.038 hitting mark.
Reilly Zegunis tallied a match-best 13 kills off a .409 attack percentage as she added six blocks, also a match high, with
Mya Ayro turning in 11 kills of her own. Sowko also finished with 11 kills and had a match-leading 14 digs for her 10th double-double in 19 matches to date. The trio combined for 35 of Wright State's 39 total kills in the win, while the Raiders saw six of the 13 service aces come from
Ella Gaona as Taygan Corstage added three of her own.
Lauren Yacobucci passed out 34 of the Raiders' 36 assists as eight Raiders collected digs, led by Sowko's 14 and 12 from Corstange.
Bella Lipski finished with nine kills to lead Milwaukee in the loss as Milica Tomic had 14 assists and Josie Johnson added 12 assists of her own. Kara Erdmann was the lone Panther with double digit digs as she tallied 11 of the visitors' 37.
