GREEN BAY – The Wright State volleyball team saw four players finish with double-digit kills as a pair of players had career afternoons in the Raiders' four set win at Green Bay in Horizon League action.
Wright State (15-7, 9-2 Horizon) remains in second place alone in the Horizon League standings, one game back of Northern Kentucky, with the teams set to meet Tuesday night inside McLin Gymnasium.
On Saturday, Green Bay (8-14, 7-4 Horizon) took the opening set 25-22 before the Raiders responded with three-straight set wins, 25-23, 25-21 and 25-17 to finish the weekend sweep.
Taylor Bransfield tallied a match-best 17 kills to lead the Raiders, who also got a career-best 14 kills from freshman
Ella Seeger to go with five blocks and the first collegiate double-double for
Audrey Hudson with 10 kills and 16 digs, both career-highs. Reilley Zegunis added 11 kills, six blocks and four digs and
Elena Dubuc chipped in seven kills.
Lauren Yacobucci passed out 50 of Wright State's 57 assists, just missing her own double-double with nine digs, as
Taygan Corstange finished with a match-best 21 digs to pace the Raider defense.
Gillian Koning led Green Bay with 15 kills in the loss while Diane Pichelman had 11 kills and Kayla Birmingham finished with a 10-kill, 10-dig double-double for the hosts.
