DAYTON- The Wright State women's basketball team (2-1) is back at the Nutter Center on Sunday, November 16, against Evansville. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. and fans are encouraged to are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items as part of the Raider Food Pantry drive. Fans can also enjoy the brand-new kids' zone presented by Dayton Children's Hospital, located on the Nutter Center Anniversary Deck on the concourse level.

Evansville finished last season 7-25 overall with a 3-17 mark in conference play. The Purple Aces are 0-3 to start the 2025-26 season, wrapping up their four-game road trip in the Nutter Center Sunday afternoon.
Seven newcomers have seen the floor for Evansville this season, combining for eight starts. The group of newcomers includes five freshmen, four of whom - Georgia Ferguson, Jelena Savic, Sydney Huber, and BreAunna Ward - have averaged 15 or more minutes per game.
Evansville returns MVC Freshman of the Year Camryn Runner, who finished last season 10th in the nation in scoring by a freshman with 15.5 PPG, finishing last season with 497 points. Runner was one of the most prolific free-throw shooters in the country last season, finishing fifth nationally in free throws made (206) and free throw attempts (250)
HISTORY VS. EVANSVILLE
Sunday's game will mark the 11
th all-time meeting between Wright State and Evansville, a series in which the Purple Aces lead 6-4. Evansville came out on top 65-63 when the two squads met in Indiana last season.
LAST TIME OUT
The Raiders set a new program best for points scored in a single game with 122 points. Their first time eclipsing 100 points since November 10, 2017, against Northwestern (OH).
Wright State led wire-to-wire on Wednesday night, taking the lead just 19 seconds into the game and never looking back.
Breezie Williams led all players in points for the second game in a row, following up her 27-point performance with another 20-point performance in just 14 minutes Wednesday night.

Grace Okih (16) all scored double-digits, with Okih and Rager setting new career highs. All 11 available Raiders saw action on the court tonight, with each player scoring at least four points.
Wright State was making it rain from downtown, tying the program record in three-pointers made with 18. The Raiders did it shooting an impressive 47.4% from beyond the arc.
The Raiders jumped all over Wilberforce in the first half, taking a 47-point lead into the halftime locker room. WSU was able to extend that lead thanks to a 13-point run in the middle of the second quarter. Williams and Rager led all players in points with 13 and 12, respectively, after the first 20 minutes.
The second half was much of the same from Wright State, outscoring Wilberforce 54-26 in the final 20 minutes. Freshmen

Henson started in all 32 games, averaging 27.6 minutes per game…Averaged 9.8 points per game along with 5.6 rebounds per game… Had a season high of 22 points, along with nine rebounds in a 77-66 win vs Tennessee State (11/15) … Reached double-figures scoring in 15 games… Finished the season with 314 points, 180 rebounds, 71 assists, and 34 steals
Scott played in 28 games, making 23 starts and averaging 24.9 minutes per game… Averaged 7.5 points per game, shooting 35 percent from the field… Had a season-best of 15 points in a 60-52 win over Oakland (02/19)... Breezie Williams and
Grace Okih join WSU with some collegiate experience and look to make an instant impact. Also joining the Raiders are true freshmen

Williams, a senior guard from Canton, Ohio, comes to Wright State after spending the 2024-25 season at Bryant University. Last season, Williams appeared in 28 games with 25 starts for Bryant, averaging 27.6 minutes per game. She posted a 37.9% field goal percentage and shot 31.3% from beyond the arc. Williams reached double figures in 10 games, including two 20-plus-point performances, and averaged 9.6 points per game. She recorded at least one assist in 26 contests, notching a season-high five assists on two occasions, most recently against Binghamton on March 6. Williams began her collegiate career at New Hampshire, where she played in and started all but one game as a freshman. She was named to the America East All-Rookie Team and ranked among the conference leaders in steals and assists. In two seasons at UNH, she shot 36.9% from the field and averaged 8.6 points per game.
Okih, a senior from Lagos, Nigeria, comes to WSU after spending the 2024-25 season at Incarnate Word. She began her collegiate career at Jacksonville College in Jacksonville, Texas. During her sophomore season at JC, Okih averaged a double-double with 10.4 points and 11.9 rebounds per game, leading NJCAA Region 14 in rebounds and ranking 12th nationally in the NJCAA. She recorded eight double-doubles that season, including a career-high 22 points and 29 rebounds against Coastal Bend CC on January 22, 2024. The 6-foot-2 forward was named Region XIV All-Conference Honorable Mention and was selected as the school's Women's Basketball MVP.
SIZING UP THE 2025-26 SQUAD
The Raiders return nine players from last season while adding four newcomers (two transfers and two freshmen).
The squad features four seniors, three juniors, four sophomores, and two freshmen. The roster also expands not only across the nation, with four different states represented (Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Wisconsin) but across the globe, with three international student-athletes (England, Nigeria, Sweden).
LAST SEASON REWIND
The Wright State women's basketball team finished last season with a 10-22 overall record with a 7-13 mark in Horizon League play.
The Raiders would enter the Horizon League Tournament and defeat #9 Youngstown State at the Nutter Center 73-58 before falling to Purdue Fort Wayne 50-64 in the quarterfinals.
