Women’s Basketball Inks Three on National Signing Day

DAYTON- The Wright State women's basketball head coach, Kari Hoffman, has announced the signing of three players to Athletics Aid Agreements to attend Wright State University and join the Wright State women's basketball program next fall.
.
The three newest Raiders are Sydney Williams from West Chester, Ohio, Megan Ganschow from Bolingbrook, Illinois, and Rowan Klesmit from Neenah, Wisconsin.

Williams averaged 9.4 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.7 steals per game in her junior season, shooting 36.1% from beyond the three-point line. She dropped a season-high 20 points against Walnut Hills on 67% shooting.

"Sydney will continue to give us a deep threat advantage that we value in our offense." Said Coach Hoffman, "She is a high-IQ player who can make tough shots from anywhere at any time.  We are excited to add this sharpshooter to our squad."

Ganschow is a two-time All-Conference player, helping lead the Grove South Mustangs to back-to-back conference championships during her Freshman and Sophomore seasons.

"We are thrilled to add Megan to our frontcourt." Said Coach Hoffman when asked about Ganschow, "She has a knack for rebounding and is a walking double-double in high school.  She won't get overworked and has great hands.  She'll instantly make us deeper in the post."

Klesmit averaged 22.7 points in her junior season, a big jump from averaging 14.9 as a sophomore. Klesmit saved her best for the playoffs, pacing the Neenah Rockets with 21 points and seven rebounds to secure Neenah's fourth straight regional title. Last season, she was named to the All-Conference and All-State First Team.

"Rowan's a floor general with a scorer's mentality." Said Coach Hoffman when asked about Klesmit, "She can run a smooth offense with poise, but can light it up from anywhere on the court as well. We can't wait to get her on campus."

Wright State will continue its four-game home stand on Wednesday, November 19, as Bellarmine visits the Nutter Center. Tip-off is set for 11 a.m. as the Raiders host their annual Education Day game.
