DAYTON- The Wright State women's basketball team (4-3) will travel to Boca Raton to participate in the Thanksgiving Classic, taking on host Florida Atlantic on November 28 and Air Force on November 29. Both games are scheduled to tip off at 1 p.m.

KNOW THE FOES
Florida Atlantic enters the weekend at 2-3 on the season with wins over Florida Memorial and Kennesaw State. Grace Carstensen and Vivian Onugha pace the Florida Atlantic offense. Onugha leads the team with 11.6 points per game, closely followed by Cartensen with 9.8. Onugha also leads the Owls in rebounding with 6.8 rebounds per game, followed closely by Haley Walker with 5.6.
Air Force enters the weekend at 3-3 with wins over Denver, Manhattan, and Portland State. Senior, Milahnie Perry, paces the Air Force offense, averaging 15 points per game, followed by Jordyn Devaughn with 9.3 points per game. The Falcons are 2-2 on the road this season and look to improve to a winning record away from the academy.
Florida Atlantic and Air Force will face off Thursday afternoon to open the Thanksgiving classic.
SERIES HISTORY
Friday's game will be just the second meeting all-time between Wright State and Florida Atlantic. The two teams met for the first time last season at the GCU Christmas Classic in Arizona, with FAU coming out on top 68-52.
Saturday's game will also be just the second meeting all-time between Wright State and Air Force. The previous meeting occurred at the Nutter Center in January 1983, with the Raiders coming out on top 73-59.
LAST TIME OUT
The Raiders fell to the Ohio Bobcats on the road Monday, 66-80.
Claire Henson was stellar for the Raiders on Monday night, recording her second double-double of the season with a season-high 17 points and career-high 15 rebounds. Henson got it done on the defensive side of the ball as well with one steal and one block.
The Raiders started hot in the first quarter, hitting four three-pointers and leading 19-16 after the first 10 minutes. But Ohio would take over in the second quarter, outscoring the Raiders 27-6 to jump out to an 18-point halftime lead. Wright State struggled offensively, hitting just two jump shots in the quarter.
Wright State outscored Ohio in the second half, cutting the lead down to 10 at multiple points, but was unable to cut into the lead anymore.
Rylee Sagester was on fire in the second half, shooting 67% from the floor and 60% from three, scoring 14 of her team-high 18 points in the final 20 minutes.
HORIZON LEAGUE RANKS
Wright State features the Horizon League's most potent offense, leading the league with 559 points and averaging 79.9 points per game. The Raiders are getting it done from beyond the three-point line, shooting 34.7% and knocking down a league high 10 three-pointers per game, followed by Youngstown State at 7.8 per game.
BREEZIE LIKE A SUNDAY MORNING
Senior guard
Breezie Williams has made an immediate impact for the Raiders, averaging 12.0 points, 3.0 assists, and 2.4 rebounds per game across her first five games in a Raider uniform. The Canton, Ohio native is shooting an impressive 43.9% from the floor, 28.6% from three-point range, and 80% from the free-throw line. Williams is eleventh in the Horizon League in points per game (12.0), third in field goal percentage (43.9%), and sixth in assists per game (3.0). The Bryant transfer had a breakout performance on the road at Tennessee State, dropping a new career-high 27 points with three assists, three rebounds, and two blocks. She followed up her career night in Nashville with a 20-point performance against Wilberforce in just 14 minutes of action.
RYLEE FROM RANGE
Redshirt sophomore guard
Rylee Sagester is not only one of the best three-point shooters in the Horizon League but is one of the best in the country. The Alexandria, Ohio native is shooting a stellar 46.9% from beyond the arc, which is a team best and first in the conference. Nationally, Sagester is tied for eighth in three-pointers made with 19 and tied for twenty-fourth in three-pointers per game with 3.17, both marks top the Horizon League (as of November 25). Sagester has made more than one three-pointer in six of the Raiders' seven games, highlighted by a pair of games with five made threes against Wilberforce and Bellarmine.
CRASHING THE BOARDS
Claire Henson and
Chloe Chard Peloquin have been active in the paint for the Raiders, each snagging 57 and 46 rebounds, respectively, across the team's first seven games. Henson is second in the Horizon League with 5.7 rebounds per game, and Chard Peloquin is sixth with 4.9 rebounds per game. Henson grabbed a career-high 15 rebounds in Monday night's game against Ohio, topping her previous high of 12 against Bellarmine earlier this season. Chard Peloquin started the year hot, grabbing a career-high 11 boards in the season opener at Butler, and later tied her career high against Bellarmine with 11 more rebounds. Henson holds a narrow lead over Chard Peloquin in defensive rebounds 40-34, and offensive rebounds, 17-12.
RECORD-BREAKING HOME OPENER
The Raiders set a new program best for points scored in a single game with 122 points. Their first time eclipsing 100 points since November 10, 2017, against Northwestern (OH).
The Raiders led wire-to-wire, taking the lead just 19 seconds into the game and never looking back.
Breezie Williams led all players in points for the second game in a row, following up her 27-point performance with another 20-point performance in just 14 minutes.

Grace Okih (16) all scored double-digits, with Okih and Rager setting new career highs. All 11 available Raiders saw action on the court tonight, with each player scoring at least four points.
Wright State was making it rain from downtown, tying the program record in three-pointers made with 18. The Raiders did it shooting an impressive 47.4% from beyond the arc.
SIZING UP THE 2025-26 SQUAD
The Raiders return nine players from last season while adding four newcomers (two transfers and two freshmen).
The squad features four seniors, three juniors, four sophomores, and two freshmen. The roster also expands not only across the nation, with four different states represented (Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Wisconsin), but across the globe, with three international student-athletes (England, Nigeria, Sweden).
