Men's Basketball set for Thursday West Coast action

DAYTON - The Wright State men's basketball team hits the road for the first time in the new season on Thursday night, as the Raiders trek west to take on California. Tipoff is set for 10 p.m. ET, and fans can follow the action several ways - watching on ACC Network Extra, via live stats or by tuning in to the Wright State Radio Network - 101.5 FM 'The Fridge' and WING 1410 AM. Chris Collins and Jim Brown will have all the play-by-play on the radio television feeds.

Fans can tune into 101.5 FM 'The Fridge' or WING 1410 AM live over the air in the Dayton metro area, as well stream the station live nationwide through a variety of free streaming apps. The iHeartRadio app, the TuneIn Radio app and the Audacy app are all FREE and each carry both stations. LAST TIME OUT 
Wright State opened its 2025-26 campaign on Monday night with four double-digit scorers as the Raiders rolled to an 86-37 victory over Franklin College. Michael Imariagbe finished with a game-high 13 points for Wright State as he added four rebounds, an assist and a block in just 16 minutes of action, while Alex Bruskotter had 11 points off the bench thanks in part to a trio of three pointers as he added three rebounds and two steals. Michael Cooper and Logan Woods each tallied 10 points, with Woods passing out five assists with three rebounds and a pair of steals and Cooper adding six boards and two assists.

CALIFORNIA DREAMIN'
Following a cross-country flight, Wright State is set for its first-ever matchup with California on Thursday. The Wright State's first visit to the state of California since the Raiders' 2022 NCAA Tournament matchup against Arizona that was played in San Diego.  The last time the Raiders played on the West Coast during the regular season was a trip to Seattle in 2009 when they opened the season at the Athletes in Action Classic. The state of California was also the site of Wright State's first-ever win as an NCAA Division I institution, with the Raiders earning a 110-97 road victory over the former United States International University in San Diego on November 28, 1987.

THE GOLDEN BEARS
- Cal opened the year with an 87-60 home victory over CSU Bakersfield on Monday behind four players in double figures scoring, led by John Camden's 22-point night.
- Cal's Monday win was its 300th win at Haas Pavilion, which opened in the fall of 1999
- Cal finished with a 14-19 overall record and a 6-14 ACC record in its first year in the conference, falling in the second round of the ACC Tournament. Cal was 11-6 at home last season.

OPENING ACTS
Wright State saw seven different players get their first action as Raiders on Monday night - four as transfers, two as true freshmen and one as a redshirt freshman. 
- Redshirt freshman Alex Bruskotter had 11 points off the bench thanks in part to a trio of three pointers as he added three rebounds and two steals.
- True freshman Michael Cooper tallied 10 points, adding six boards and two assists, while fellow frosh Kellen Pickett added seven points, five rebounds and three steals.
- Transfer Sam Alamutu turned in nine points, five rebounds, five steals and two assists, while newcomer Byan Etumnu had seven points, seven rebounds, four assists and three steals.
- Transfer Dominic Pangonis added seven points and five rebounds while newcomer TJ Burch dished out a game-high nine assists.

BUSY NOVEMBER
Wright State is set for eight contests in the month of November, with three games coming at home (Franklin, Toledo, Ohio Wesleyan). The Raiders will trek to the state of California and Florida during the month as well, along with MTE action in West Virginia and a quick trip to take on former Horizon League foe Butler.

ALLOW US TO (RE)INTRODUCE OURSELVES. . .
Wright State returns six players from a season ago. Logan Woods started 25 games in 2024-25 while shooting 48 percent overall, while Michael Imariagbe (18 starts, 64 percent shooting) and Solomon Callaghan (11 starts, 41 percent shooting) also had double-digit starts and shot over 40 percent from the floor and Andrea Holden connected at a 65 percent shooting clip with five starts. 

WELCOME TO THE SQUAD
Wright State added eight newcomers (four transfers, four freshmen) to its 2025-26 roster. Transfers Sam Alamutu, TJ Burch, Bryan Etumnu and Dominic Pangonis join the Raiders with collegiate experience, along with redshirt freshmen Alex Bruskotter and Ayden Davis and true freshmen Michael Cooper, PJ Douglas, Kellen Pickett and Isaiah Williams.
