WITTENBERG, OH- The Wright State Raiders took home a pair of event titles and found the podium in several others in the final tune-up meet before the Horizon League Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Senior Cierra Lively kept her strong indoor season going, clearing five feet, eight inches to take home the women's high jump. Lively was over two inches clear of anyone else in the competition. Junior Mia Wyngarden took home the crown in the women's 1000 meters. She was one of two runners to best three minutes, clocking in at 2:56.95. Teammate and senior Emma Johnson, joined her on the podium with a third-place finish.

Several Raiders earned podium finishes at the Wittenberg Invite. Sophomore Meredith Goecke took second place in the women's pole vault, clearing 11 feet, 7.75 inches. On the men's side, sophomore pole vaulter Oliver Murray grabbed second place, clearing 15 feet, one inch. In the 60-meter dash, Hannah Falknor took second place in both the prelims and the final. The sophomore bested her prelim time by over a tenth of a second, with a final's time of 7.62 seconds. Fellow sophomore Lylla Kovacs followed suit in the 60-meter hurdles. Kovacs took second with a 8.93 second finish.

Also grabbing podium spots were freshman Izabella Bell in the triple jump and freshman Jayden Thompson in the 800 meters. Bell narrowly missed out on second place honors, leaping 33 feet 10.75 inches, three-quarters of an inch behind second place. Thompson flew around the track in the 800 meters, posting a time of 1:55.07, finishing a half second behind second place.

The Raiders will now turn their attention to the Horizon League Indoor Championships this weekend. The two-day final begins Saturday on the campus of Purdue-Fort Wayne.
