LOCKPORT, IL – The No. 19 Wright State bowling team opened play at the Flyer Classic on Friday, going 3-2 in the first day of action to sit 12th overall in the 22-team field.

Saturday's action gets underway at 10:25 a.m. and will feature five traditional matches. Teams' totals from Friday and Saturday will be combined to determine seeding for the bracket, which will be contested in three best-of-seven Baker matches.
Teams bowled five head-to-head Baker matches on Friday, with the Raiders grabbing wins over Augustana (975-806), (RV) Marian (973-838) and Aurora (974-967) while falling in tight matches to No. 1 Nebraska (1,020-915) and No. 20 Tulane (996-994).
The Raiders finished with a 4,831 total pinfall on Friday with a 193.2 average game score.
Saturday's traditional matches will see Wright State square off against No. 6 North Carolina A&T, No. 10 Maryville, No. 2 Vanderbilt, Valparaiso and No. 9 Stephen F. Austin.
In addition to Saturday's day two action in the Chicagoland area, the Raiders will have a second group of bowlers competing at the Ohio Bowling Conference Event 4 on Saturday, with action in Columbus set to get underway at 10 a.m.
