Women's Basketball hosts YSU Tuesday as No. 8 seed in 2025 Barbasol HL Championship

INDIANAPOLIS/DAYTON – The Wright State women's basketball team will be the No. 8 seed for the 2025 Barbasol Horizon League Championship that begins next week and the Raiders will host Youngstown State on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. inside the Nutter Center, as the League announced the tournament bracket Saturday afternoon.

The Raiders (9-21) will face No. 9 Youngstown State at the Nutter Center in first round action on Tuesday, with the broadcast on ESPN+. A win Tuesday night will advance Wright State to a quarterfinal matchup on the road Thursday night.
Raider season ticket holders can log into their online account to pay for their tickets now. The deadline to purchase before season ticket holder seat locations are opened to the general public will be Monday, March 3.
Wright State won both regular season meetings with Youngstown State, with the Raiders winning by 15 at home in mid-January before grabbing a 78-79 overtime win on the road in February.
Tuesday's first-round action also includes No. 6 Detroit Mercy hosting No. 11 Milwaukee and No. 7 IU Indy hosting 10th-seeded Oakland.
No. 1-seeded Green Bay, No. 2 Purdue Fort Wayne and No. 3 Cleveland State await their quarterfinal opponents. Fourth-seeded Robert Morris and fifth-seeded Northern Kentucky also have first round byes and will play each other in metro Pittsburgh on Thursday night. Quarterfinal round winners will advance to Indianapolis for the semifinals on March 10 and the championship on March 11.
