Bowlers tally three wins in opening day action

SMYRNA, TN  The No. 21 Wright State bowling team opened play at the Columbia 300 Music City Classic on Friday, going 3-2 in the first day of action to sit 12th overall in the 31-team field.

Saturday's action gets underway at 9:25 a.m. and will feature five traditional matches, with the weekend wrapping up on Sunday starting at 8:25 a.m. best-of seven Baker bracket play.
 
Teams bowled five head-to-head Baker matches on Friday, with the Raiders grabbing wins over Quincy (849-619), Lewis (978-827) and No. 7 Sam Houston State (1,008-934) while falling to No. 19 UAB (1,005-871) and No. 2 Jacksonville State (1,040-975).

The Raiders finished with a 4,681 total pinfall on Friday with a 187.2 average game score.
 
Saturday's traditional matches will see Wright State square off against Marian (WI), No. 6 Arkansas State and Alabama A&M.
