FORT WAYNE – Cierra Lively stole the show on Sunday as the Wright State track & field programs wrapped up the 2025 Horizon League Indoor Championships, with the Raiders finishing eighth overall on the both men's and women's sides.
Lively, who captured the Horizon League's outdoor title in the women's high jump last spring, left no doubt on Sunday, winning the indoor title as she cleared 1.78 meters to reset her new personal best mark and tie the Horizon League Championship record mark, previously set by Peyton Wade of UIC in 2019.
The 1.78m clearance by Lively set Sunday shattered her previous best of 1.73 meters, set just week at the Wittenberg Invitational.
In addition to Lively,
Daria Lee finished seventh in the women's high jump with a new personal best 1.58m clearance, while
Greyson Pollock was fifth in the men's triple jump with his 13.35m mark.
The Raiders had several top 10 finishes on the track as well, with
Hannah Falknor turning in a 7.61 mark to finish fourth in the women's 60m race, while
Lylla Kovacs was seventh in the women's 60m hurdles with her 8.93 second time.
Alex McCarty paced three Raiders in the men's 3,000m run with his seventh-place finish (8:35.58), while
Andrew Bugner (8:41.74) and Ethan Beblock (8:42.11) were 13th and 15th, respectively. In the women's 3,000m run,
Emma Johnson turned in a 10:09.17 time to finish 11th while
Reece Barnitz was 21st with her 10:39.73 mark.
Evan McPherson finished 18th in the men's mile with his 4:29.22 mark, just ahead of teammate

Wright State will now take a few weeks off before embarking on its outdoor schedule, set to begin March 21 with the Blizzard Buster hosted by Miami (OH). That meet is the first of eight outdoor meets slated ahead of the Horizon League Outdoor Championships in mid-May.
